Action Buttons and context menu

Staffcloud offers in many places the possibility to select different objects. For example, employees found in the employee administration can be marked with a checkbox or in the shift planning functions can be marked with a click.

If there are actions available for the selected items, the action bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen. The actions that are available depend on the current context.

Structure of the action bar

The left part of the action bar provides information about the type and number of selected objects. Helpful: This information can prevent errors if currently invisible entries are selected, e.g. employees further down in a list.

The middle part of the action bar contains the available actions. The buttons are color-coded. Certain actions offer advanced options. These are available by clicking on the back part of the button, marked with three dots.

Available keyboard shortcuts are displayed at the right edge of the action bar. Always available is the Esc key, which is used to cancel a selection completely.

Context menu

Whenever the action bar is displayed, the context menu is also available. This can be opened by clicking the right mouse button in the selected area. The menu contains the same actions as the action bar with the same color coding.

Note: For users of iOs (Mac) and a trackpad, the context menu is available by "two-finger click".

The right click can also be used for quick selection. The object under the mouse is selected, all other objects are deselected. This can be combined with navigation in Shift Planning, for example:
