Configuring ratings and rating criteria
Configuring ratings
Under Configuration → Employees → Ratings, you can define when employees should be rated:
- after each individual event or assignment day
- once after the entire project has been completed
If the Team Leader App add-on is enabled, you can also specify whether team leaders are allowed to rate the employees in their team after an assignment.
Configuring rating criteria
Under Configuration → Employees → Ratings Criteria, you can define individual criteria that can be used to rate employees.
Using individual rating criteria is optional and allows for more detailed ratings. If no criteria are configured, employees can still be given a general rating of 1 to 5 stars.
The criteria can be defined according to your individual requirements. You can also assign a weighting to each criterion. The weighting determines how strongly the respective criterion influences the overall rating.
In this example, the Stress Resistance criterion is weighted three times as heavily as the Dexterity criterion:
Calculation example
The following ratings and weightings were applied:
- Dexterity: 1 star × weighting 1 = 1
- Professional Expertise: 2 stars × weighting 2 = 4
- Stress Resistance: 5 stars × weighting 3 = 15
- Reliability: 1 star × weighting 1 = 1
Without weighting, the average rating would be calculated as follows:
(1 + 2 + 5 + 1) ÷ 4 = 2.25 stars
When the weightings are taken into account, the overall rating is calculated as follows:
Sum of the weighted ratings:
1 + 4 + 15 + 1 = 21
Sum of the weightings:
1 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 7
Weighted overall rating:
21 ÷ 7 = 3 stars
